Crown or Veneer?

What is the difference between a veneer and a crown?

Both veneers and crowns are made of special ceramic substrate, they are made to look, feel and function exactly like natural teeth, and they are beautiful.  Veneers are typically only placed on the teeth that show when you smile, primarily in the front.  The reason for veneers is to improve the appearance of your teeth.  They are made to fit on only the fronts of the teeth.  However, when teeth are heavily filled, broken, or weak, a crown is advised.  Why?   Because crowns strengthen teeth much better than veneers or fillings. Crowns are placed when dentists are concerned a tooth will fracture.   At Brandywine Dental Services Group, we fabricate strong, custom made gorgeous crowns and veneers.  These restorations beautify and strengthen your smile for the present and for the future.
